We didn’t learn to do solar just from the school of life, as you will see when you look at our attached accredited training.
We do enjoy using our training to select the best possible solution for your home. Our team consists of a qualified Accountant, Electricians, Solar Installers, Gas Fitters and Plumbers. This allows us to look at the whole picture, making the solutions we offer to our customers specific and in their best interest. With the additional background in mechanical engineering compounding the already broad perspective, we feel that our solar mounting solutions and structural analysis capabilities help us give you more secure installations that will outlive your 25 year modules. Allowing you to use the same structure for the next set of solar modules, 25 years from now. With a wide field of expertise we believe that a whole package should be efficient, cost effective and reliable. There are solutions for any budget, and we are willing to work with you until we find the right solution for you.
We believe in installations that comply with the minimum standard set out by the South African National Standard, we bring in additional safety features. We will never supply you with a battery that does not communicate with the inverter, we believe that’s reckless and an accident waiting to happen. Every cable we install is protected by a fuse or a circuit breaker. Every cable we install is sized according to the current, voltage and length of that cable to not fall under the required 5% voltage drop. We aim for 3%. Our DC cables are sleeved individually, to minimise the risk of a short circuit. When we choose your array architecture we take shading into account, setting it up to maximize your yield.
Once your installation is in place we support you all the way, we do daily checks on your Victron Installations online for free. Other equipment is checked periodically. We do a yearly physical system check-up to make sure the cabling and critical equipment does not deteriorate(this is done at a small fee, if the customer allows it). We help you understand the data you see on the online monitoring, any online support is for free. We haven’t had any repairs other than internet connections going astray so our system designs have a track record of being reliable.
